The Night - Raven Astrid

Feel
The cold beneath your hands
Taste the salt upon your lips
Hear the old wind call your name
The shore is fading now.
Your mother
Stands beside the fire.
Your father
Watches from the storm.
No one says the word by, but still you know
The har grow small behind us.
The mountains disappear and gray.
You hold
The a little tighter as home is carried away.
And when the dark comes over the water, look beside you
We are still here.
Roll with us into the night under the stars.
Beyond the light
To the old
Hold to your heart.
The sea may take us
Far from home, but never who we are
Cold rain runs across your forehead
Black waves rise against above.
The wind
Is torn.
